Characteristics Rubber accelerator ZDMC(PZ) is white or light yellow powder, odorless, non-toxic, soluble in dilute alkali, carbon disulfide, benzene, acetone and dichloromethane, slightly soluble in chloroform, and insoluble in alcohol, carbon tetrachloride and ethyl acetate.

 

Applications ZDMC(PZ) is a fast-speed curing accelerator for natural and synthetic rubber, and general accelerator for latex. It is especially used in butyl rubber system which needs small compressive strain under certain circumstances, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber which needs good ageing-resistance and EPDM rubber. Generally zinc oxide and stearic acid are needed when ZDMC(PZ) is used in rubber compounds. It is used for light-colored and colorized products because of non-toxic, odorless, non-stain, non-discoloring and well dispersion. ZDMC(PZ) is regulated for use in articles in contact with food as specified under FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, 178.3120 and under Bgvv XXI, Categories 1-4 and "Sonder kategorie".
