Characteristics DTDM is non-toxic, tasteless, soluble in benzene and tetrachloromethane, slightly soluble in acetone and gasoline, difficultly soluble in alcohol and ethyl acetate, but insoluble in water and aliphatic hydrocarbon. Its density is 1.32~1.38g/cm3. It will decompose when exposed to mineral acid or alkali, and has good storage stability in normal temperature.
Applications DTDM is vulcanizator or accelerator for natural and synthetic rubber. It can release active sulfur which contains 27% of active sulfur and has safe operating. The curing rate is slow if DTDM is used alone, then increased if combined with thiazol, thiuram and dithiocarbamate. DTDM is non-blooming, non-stain and non-discoloring, and has good dispersion. Especially applicable for IIR. Mainly used in manufacturing tyres, inner tube, rubber belt etc.
Packaging Coextruded paper bags lined with plastic film, net weight 25Kgs/bag.
Storage Store in closed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, and avoid exposure to sunlight.
