Product characteristicsR-80 is one of the components of resorcinol/formaldehyde/silica adhesive system. The resorcinol-formaldehyde-resin system can be used during processing with a formaldehyde donor such as HEXA-80 or RA-65 to form a rubber-to-fabric or steel cord bond; this system is suitable for bonding various rubbers to reinforcing materials, for example, fibers, glass fibers and metals such as steel cords.
Processing characteristicsIn general, the flaky crystalline resorcinol tends to adhere to equipment during kneading, and is not easily dispersed uniformly. However, the R-80 is easy to mix ingredients, will not agglomerate under normal storage conditions, has good fluidity, has no dust flying, will not cause feeding loss, is easy to eat and evenly dispersed in various rubber materials, and ensures the activity of effective component resorcinol. It is suggested that it can be added at the end of mixing.
