Product characteristicsThe pre-dispersed desiccant CaO-80 is a pre-dispersed granular desiccant combined with EPDM/EVA blending carrier, which has processing thermoplasticity in combination with elastomer. The combination of elastomer and its surface active dispersing additive ensures that the product can be rapidly absorbed and dispersed in rubber. Calcium oxide absorbs water vapor to generate calcium hydroxide, which enables the product to be continuously extruded and vulcanized under pressueless conditions to avoid sponge defects due to the presence of water vapor, therefore, the product is particularly suitable for use in extruded compounds that require continuous vulcanization in hot air, a vulcanizing bed, a salt bath or a microwave device; because the cell structure can be more uniform, the pre-dispersed desiccant CaO-80 can also be used in foamed products, especially microcellular sponge rubber products.
Processing characteristicsPre-dispersed desiccant CaO-80 is easy to operate and handle, will not agglomerate under normal storage conditions, has good fluidity and is free of dust. Eating materials quickly and evenly dispersed in various rubber materials; As it has been pre-dispersed, it is recommended to add it at the end of mixing.
DosageUsually 2.0 to 10.0 parts, depending on the amount, kind and moisture content of the filler.
